Ronaldinho named World's Most Valuable

According to a BBDO Germany study, Brazilian star Ronaldinho has been named the world's most commercially valuable football player, who worths a staggering £32.6m. Ronaldinho, who has been voted Fifa World Player of the Year twice, currently plays his club football for Spanish champions Barcelona.

Real Madrid player David Beckham is second on the list with a commercial value of £31.2m, followed by Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney (£30.4m) in third place.

BBDO Germany said in the report that 'Beckham owes his second place in the ranking to his status as the 'metrosexual' prototype and the lucrative contracts this generated for him.'
